A small, post-industrial town in the Rhineland-Palatinate region of Germany, Eisenberg is located in a wooded area, close to the German Wine Route with a population of approximately 9,000 people.

During our stays here we have visited many of the interesting towns and museums nearby and in 2013 we joined Eisenberg to celebrate their 1,250 year Jubilee. There was a carnival parade, where we had a "Baldock" float and festival dinner for all local associations.

Eisenberg's most recent visit to Baldock in July 2024 included a trip to Hitchin Lavender and a relaxing tour down the River Great Ouse.
